Tonight I spent some time browsing the web looking for a Mac friendly count down timer for Bignate's return. The current timer only works in Internet Explorer on the PC, not firefox or anything else. I think i've found a solution. You should see it in the column to the right.
Once it was working, after the brief moment of joy, I asked myself.. am I an Apple Fanboy?. As much as I hate to admit it, I believe i am. My first Apple was way back in the day. The Apple IIc. It was mostly for using magic slate and playing oregon trail. About a decade ago I bought another mac, used it some, then over the past 5 years the macs have seemed to spread through my computer life like wild fire.
The past month looking back it seems to have reached an all time high. As many of you know I have longed for an iPhone since they came out last june. I at planned to jump ship this month, but the AT&T plans are going to cost me a fortune. This said i looked other places. Looked for phones that offered what the iPhone does. Each and every device i picked up ultimately ended with this statement "it's nice, but its just not an iPhone". So i looked on. About two weeks ago i finally made a purchase. Its not a phone, but an iPod touch. It is basically an iPhone withouth the phone. I have been knee deep in the new 2.0 software, the new applications, and using a trial of Apple's Mobile Me service. Even though its technically an iPod, intended for playing media, its been the best PDA i've ever carried. I rarely use the music, even though it works great. The video looks awesome, but i rarely use it. At this point it has become the hub of my mobile life. It is checking my gmail, my UT mail. The calendar using Mobile Me is doing great. I have multiple calendars on there, and they all sync up to all my other computers. If sam puts something in at home, it shows up on my iPod. If i put something in when there is no net access, next time i have it the iPod throws it out to all my computers. Currently there are 2 macs, 1 pc, and 1 ipod talking and sharing data daily. I must say it is very nice. Although the longing for the iPhone isa not completely gone, it is amazing how many free hotspots there are out there. Once you have tht access, the sky is the limit. I imagine you will read more updates in the future, but as for now i can say the iPod touch has met and exceeded all my PDA requests. So far it just works. And i guess as long as Apple continues down that road, then yep i think I'm a fanboy.

Now you've got me interested....
so where'd you buy yours?
I'm in too. I might just get the iPhone instead but am definitely getting an iPhone or an iTouch.
Hey man, thanks for digging into my code! Who knew one little digit could foul up a counter!
I'm glad you're cruising along with latest in the iLife world...when I get back I'm going to have to dust off my Axim!!
Thanks Ryan, I'm hooked too. I can't put the thing down. I've had better luck with Mobile Me this afternoon. I must have just been impatient.
