This summer has found us making wonderful use of the heady pool once again. It has served the Heady's well over the years. It is still going strong after a good 20 years or so. Knock on wood of course something won't go wrong tomorrow. I will have to say it has to be one of the best investments I think you could make with kids. All winter long all I have heard is "is it summer yet so we can swim?" Finally now that is summer she still wakes up everyday asking "Is it still summer?" I say "yes" and she says "that means we get to swim." And swim she has. She has gone from wearing a life jacket every time to jumping in and swimming underwater all by herself. I am glad my child does like some sport. I do think Ryan was getting scared she wouldn't be athetetic at all like her mother (artsy right tim?). But she has certainly shined this year. I do think the Y has some type of swim team, but not sure for her age or not. We are so proud of her.
On the abby note, she is getting over two ear infections. My little solid sleeper didn't sleep much more than an hour at time friday night..I knew something was wrong so to our good Dr. Cameron's we went...sure enough that summer cold she has been fighting had taken its toll on her. thankfully, her health has shown much improvements since winter.

Allie is turning into quite the little ichthyoid! I'm glad she has taken to the water so well, swimming is not enjoyed by so many people because they never did it as a child! Looks like fun times in the Heady pool! I wish I was standing near it grilling some burgers!!
Well, I feel compelled to respond as my name was disparaged. Let is be officially known henceforth, that I am not the one who said you can not be "artsy" and athletic. I am the person who makes fun of the person who said it. :-)
