Spring Cleaning over Christmas Break

Its almost time to put a lid on 2007, seems like only yesterday she was brand new. The past few days at our house have consisted of a great cleaning. Sam and i have spent many many hours sorting, tossing, storing all sorts of stuff. Our goal is a more organized, less cluttered house. The process is not finished yet, but is coming along nicely. Part of the work days have been more fun than that though. We have also spent alot of time on the TV/Movie room downstairs. My christmas present this year was a combo gift from everyone. They all went in together and bought me a new AV receiver for our surround system downstairs. I'm pretty excited about it. Our old unit didn't really give us all the perks that a new system has to offer. Since we were going to have to take apart the old system, i thought there was no better time than now to do alittle work we had been wanting to do. We took the opportunity to paint the white ceiling tiles black, and put up some dark colored fabric over the top of the panel walls. I also bought a stand to mount or tv on. All these things combined have made a huge difference. It has really transformed into a different place. I tried to take some pictures for you to see, but they just don't really give it justice. But i'll share them anyway. Below you'll see the new stand setup, as well as a old ceiling new ceiling system, and a shot of how when all the lights are off everything just sort of dissapears and your left with a floating screen.
