Right now me, ab's and sammy, plus a few other folks are sitting in a waiting room listening to the hum of the florescent lights. We are in Murfreesboro waiting on the news from our good friend Carrie. Carrie has been a good friend of ours forever. She was Sam's maid of honor in our wedding. Carrie is expecting her first child at the end of this month... that was original plan. Yesterday she went for a check up and found out that she has toxemia. After several tests from the doctors they admitted her to the hospital last night. They induced labor, but since she is so early that has failed. We are waiting on the room so that they can do a c section. Not exactly how you would plan your first child. We are all in hopes that mom and baby are ok. They finally got her blood pressure under control, and have her taking magnesium. Which in turn is making her sick. Sam has been back a few times and says carrie is really struggling. After she has the baby she will still have to keep the magnesium drip going until tomorrow. Allie spent the night at grandma's and dodged the waiting room blues. Luckily i thought ahead and brought my trusty mac. I've got all the power of the interent, plus about 3 ripped movies to keep me company. All the while listening to the buzz of the lights and the occasional kerplunk of a coke machine as we all ingest some caffine. I guess if the night drags on too far, then you might see another blog entry.
