Unto you this day in the city of Sparta a blog is born

Historically speaking my brother has been on the cutting edge of several things much sooner than me. Flash back a decade and he had a palm pilot. The first to have an internet capable smart phone. Net access on a laptop via a cell network. HD television. Shooting photograph in RAW format. Deep down he longs to be a nerd, but is afraid. Today my little friend stuck his nerd neck out just alittle bit more and started a blog as well as a photo page on flickr. The page is so new it is still has that new blog smell. It will be a great way to share his and tara's adventures. As well as letting folks back in NC tap into their daily happenings. Blogging is one thing i jumped into alittle head of my bro... way back in Feb of '05. So let me give you a few points i've learned over the years.

- Pace yourself - It's easy to go crazy with the new found tool.
- Jump back on the horse - Theres going to be a time when you look at your blog and it's been 2 months since you touched it. Don't get discouraged hop back in. BBOM survived the "dead" year of bignates life and now she's better than ever
- Go wireless - It is alittle bit of a hassle, but go to the trouble of setting up your mobile blog, and making it post for you. It's pretty awesome to be able to see something cool and post it to your blog from your cell.
- You have to give to receive - In order for people to post comments on your blog you have to return the favor. Give and take goes along way in blog land.
