A Christmas Blog

Even though it is hard to believe, Christmas is here! Today is Sarah's Birthday. Happy Birthday Sis!! She is one of the lucky few that has a birthday at Christmas time. No matter how hard you try these birthdays always get lost just alittle. Today we will be taking her out for lunch. Normally Cameron and I pelt her with Happy Birthday text messages every 2 minutes the entire day. Since i am no longer with Verizon, Mom might not take too kindly to 500 Birthday text messages when she passes up her out of network limit ha ha. I guess i'll let cammo handle the pelting today.

In addition to sarah's birthday, I find my self mentally gearing up for Christmas. And for the war that is "Christmas Gift" As you have read many times on our blog we have a tradition of saying Christmas Eve Gift, and Christmas Gift to all our family. The object of this simple game is to say it to them before they say it to you. This simple tradition has escalated to an all out war of 12:01 phone calls and tricky sneak attacks ha ha. We've often tried to find the origin of this tradition, but no one knows. Nanny just says they were doing it when she was a little girl. A google search has found other family's with the same tradition and the same response as to its origin. Feel free to start this tradition in your family this season. Just be warned it grows and can become quiet competitive.

Finally I will leave you with a Christmas song everyone should be acquainted with. This song was first introduced to me by our good friend Timbo. Apparently this song used to be on the radio, but the radio station felt they owned Sammy the Christmas snake and would only play a few slices of the song at a time, or would talk over the top of it so no one could have the entire song. Well news flash, the interent community is determined and will prevail. One faithful sammy follower recorded them all and spliced the song together again for us all to enjoy. Sammy is too much for one person to control. So enjoy this Christmas jingle. I had to put it in video form in order to post it here, but if you want the mp3 just shoot me an email and i'll be happy to send it your way.
