Today we took a family journey to Burgess Falls Park. Burgess is just up the road, but we don't really make it up there that often. Sam's brother had a cook out there so we went to join in. After a yummy burger, sam, allie and i took a walk along the trail that makes its way to the falls. Abby stayed with nanny. It was a good hike. I only wish i had my regular shoes on and not crocs. To the right you will see a shot i took with the iPhone. The camera on the iPhone isn't great, but if you can keep a steady hand you can get some decent shots. The water was really down, especially at the big falls. Those lake going folks that read this blog will notice in the clip below that boat travel to the base of the falls like we are a custom to would be impossible.
After our hike had ended, we came upon the largest dog i've ever seen. I tried to get allie to let me take her picture with him, but she was too scared. I have no idea who the people in this clip are, the dog was my main focus. The owner told me he weighs a 180 pounds. Just for a point of reference. The giant yellow dog that guards our house only weighs about 78. This dog was enormous.

Wasn't too long ago a rock broke of of that fall and the dude standing on top of it was not road runner and he fell from the fall. All the king's horses and all the king's men... don't get too close to the edge.
Wow, I haven't seen the water that low in a long time! Great tour of the park though...and neat transitions. That dog IS huge. And the new layout is really nice...I like the black...very Mac.
