The Great Fall

I got an interesting call this afternoon. It was about 3:30, and things were pretty quiet at the office. Sam was on the phone, and she began telling me how she was afraid she had broken her foot. As the story goes, Allie had been at Nanny & Pa's house in the afteroon, so it was just ab's and sam. Apparently ab's put a shoe or something on the step that comes from our kitchen to the den. Sam hit it and fell down the step. She landed strangly on her right foot and heard a pop. She said her eyes started to go black and felt sick. Never a good sign. Luckly sam's parents were bringing allie home and walked in withen a couple mins. So they watched the kiddos while sam assessed the situation. When i came home her foot didn't look too good so we went to get it x-ray'd. My general feeling toward White county community hospital is really minor things only. not going to trust them with much more. We debated driving to cookeville, but tried the local folks. After a wait and a cold "we could care less" attitude from the folks up front we finally got behind the magic door. We went through the yada yada stuff, finally got it x-rayed and waited for the results. When the doc finally looked at them, he said there was a small line, but looked like an old injury and he didn't think it was fractured. Just a bad sprain. Sometimes i think a bad sprain may hurt worse than a break. Sammy has been in the recliner most of the night going through the "RICE" theorpy. Hopefully morning will find her even better. The swelling looks better that it did just a few hours ago. We were trying to figure out what to do with our Government stimulus money. I guess we donated some of it to WCCH. ha ha.
