Greetings faithful blog readers. It never ceases to amaze me at the number of folks that actually read the ramblings of this blog. About every week i will bump into someone that says they have read my blog, most of which i have never given the address to, but they have stumbled here. From all the staff here at "Theheadys" blog, we thank you!
Well as many of you know tomorrow is one of those milestone birthdays for me. I've had many people ask me how i feel. Do i feel older, are you depressed, etc etc. To be perfectly honest I feel no different. I'm alive and well, with good friends, good family, good food, a good dog, and a shiney mac to type on... what else could a person want? I did notice that the TN lottery is up to close to 300 million. In my mind... birthday weekend, giant pot, seems like i can't loose. Maybe i should gather up 4 quarters and play. If i hit the jackpot you'll hear it on this blog. I'll go so far to say, comment on this blog before the lottery numbers are drawn. If i win i'll pay out 10k to each user that commented. It's a win win. Ha ha. Those individuals that are in the "lotto contract" need not comment. You know who you are.
Today in a celebration of life, we will be taking a trip to the mold factory. I mean Cheesecake factory. Tastiest mold i've ever seen! Don and Judy gave us a gift certificate for Christmas so today we are going to cash it in for some good grub. cam and tara also have a card so we are all 4 going to head out when cam gets off healing the sick at noon. It should be some fun times. It will be in the Green Hills mall area, so as always I will have to crank up Andy Gullahorns song about Green Hills Mall. Just feels right. Pretty funny song if you've never heard it. If you've got iTunes click here to listen to a sample. (to anyone that actually listened to the 30 second sample in iTunes i am aware of the irony that this song brings to my 300 million paragraph above)
The last topic for this post is a recent bucket list item that has been accomplished. As you faithful readers know, i recently scratched off a big bucket list item. This week i accomplished a much smaller item on the list. But it was an item none the less. This week for the first time i can ever remember I actually finished a tube of chap stick! You may say that sounds crazy, or you are crazy. I was pretty happy about this however. It always frustrates me that every chap stick either gets lost, washed, dryed, melted in the sun, eaten by a kid, lost in a chair, borrowed and never returned, borrowed by someone sick and then tossed, the wheel breaks, or any of the other 1000 things that happend to chapsticks. This week i actually made it to the bottom. Ive been diligent to keep up with this one, and it has been well worth it. Today a new rookie will be thrown into the mix. Lets hope his fate is none of the forementioned ways a chap stick can die.
