First Contact...

Today is Sammy's Birthday. Happy B-day Sammy!! As part of the birthday venture Pa Don & JuJu kept allie, that left me, sammy and Ab's to go on a day trip. We started out west bound, and ended up in Lebanon at the outlet mall. there we found lots of good clothes for Allie on sale. We then stopped by Demo's for some yummy grub. If you've never eaten there then you really should try it. The food is very inexpensive, but is really yummy. All the tea is unsweet and they give you a little pitcher of sugar water to sweeten it with. Pretty neato burrito. We then ventured to Mt. Juliet the fastest growing place on the planet. Our ultimate goal was Target for a stroller sam has been saving her $$'s for. Three really good things came out of this Target trip. One, we found the stroller, two we bought some supper cool remote control helicopters, and three i got wind of an AT&T store just around the corner.

First the Helicopter, these little guys, made by Air Hogg are awesome, they fit in the palm of your hand, and they shoot out little infrared beems so you can battle each other in the air and try to shoot one another down. Kind of like laser tag only with miniature helicopters. The initial flight will take place at approximately 20:00 tonight at FBC.

Finally, point three. First Contact. Since the debut of the iPhone i have been searching for any store near here that actually had one in stock. Today by total luck we found one. I built up my nerve and we entered. As we entered we saw the display with 3 iPhones all setup for your playing pleasure. I can say that all the reviews are true. Their main two points are exactly right. #1 iPhone is stunning!! #2 Edge network is slow :( The store itself was having trouble with their wi-fi so surfing took place on the Edge network. AT&T's data network. Although the pages loaded, and all features worked, it was pretty sluggish. Other than that i must say the first experience was great! I left a comment on our blog via the phone. Browsed around some of my favorite sites. Played some tunes, looked at some email, and tested the calendar functions. Although i only got to spend about 30 mins with her, i can say the iPhone completely stood up to the hype! Look for more iPhone news to come at a later day!!

I'm glad you could leave a comment on your blog from the iPhone...I tried to leave one on your blog and couldn't get it to post...only to sit there and pretend it was trying to post! I'm glad it was everything you hoped for. I still have one question...will it blend?
