Well it's that time of year when the White County Fair Fires up. Funnel Cakes, Candy Apples, labor day working at the Fair for rhino, and a small city popping up in our back yard. Tonight we ventured out, as did hundreds of other Sparta'villians to see the spectacle that is the Fair. Pretty much the same old story with the exception of the heat. Thought old dad was going to give out before we finished up. Allie had a great time, and Abby fell asleep as we took it all in. From our house you can see and hear the fair. Allie especially likes the "big circle" better known as the Ferris Wheel. So tonight as we walked in the first thing she said was i want to ride the big circle. I really thought she might chicken out but she walked right up, gave the man the tickets and hopped on with me. She had a great time and wasn't scared at all. I was pretty amazed that she didn't weird out on me as we stopped on the top and took in the sights. The picture above is one of the great beauty's of cell phone cameras. Sure they aren't that great of quality, but for moments like this that were not planned on, its great to be able to capture the moment. 
Allie also took a few minutes to spend with Dave Teter giving out Orange New Testaments. Something about a cute little girl handing you a Bible is hard to turn down.
Abby had no strong feelings about her first visit to the Fair. She rode around in her little "carrying case" on mom's shoulders and took in the sights, sounds and then proceeded to snooze. She came home, played with al, ate and went to bed. Pretty much all in a days work for Ab's. They both did so good and behaved very well.
I could not finish this post without reflecting back a year... My fair post of 2006 was of one of great sadness. It was one year ago at this time when i learned of the death of one of my favorite TV personalities. Steve we miss you! Read last years post
p.s. for those who may not know the fair takes place just on the other side of that big barn in the picture at the top of this site. So we are pretty close!

Had a blast with you this weekend man! Cool pics of the kids too..the one on the 'big circle' is pretty awesome...although I'm missing a certain video briefing on the 29" woman.
I think the Pruietts need to update their blog to fill us folks in on what's going on in their life. It's been over a year so it wouldn't be information overload or anything. :)
