Apple Welcomes FBC

I have spent most of my free time the past couple of days figuring out the in's and out's of doing podcasts. At church we've been making the mp3 of our am service available on the webpage for awhile, but this week i decided to give podcasting a whirl. After some reading, and surfing i have got a working RSS feed going with all the proper iTunes tags. As a faithful reader of this blog i thought i'd share this news with you guys first. Right now our podcast is filtering through all the databases at Apple and we will soon be browsable in the iTunes store. You can do a search for us now, and find us. I am also going to put a subscribe link on the FBC website. Right now we are still in the early stages. J.D. is going to do a sound bite for me that will play at the beginning of each episode. Also we are trying to come up with a neat name for our Podcast other than "First Baptist Church Sparta Podcast" if you have strong feelings on this topic please post them here in the comments so we can consider it. But for all you iPod folks soon you can take our sermons on the road with you!! Or you can just subscribe and have it delivered to your desktop in iTunes each week automatically. I hope you enjoy it. I'm pretty excited about it. Excited about figuring it out, and excited that there could be lots of people stumble across us in the iTunes store.
