I've never been more homesick now

Our sweet girl, Erin, went home to be with the Lord this week. How can we even begin to start on Erin? How we loved her? How she made us laugh. How our kids loved her? I won't say she lost her battle with cancer, but only won the race a little before the rest of us. Today we said goodbye at a wonderful funeral service. I told Allie she didn't need our prayers anymore, because God answered them but just had to take her to heaven to do it. She said "wow, now she can play, play, play!" I can't say I haven't asked God why. As I lay beside her Sunday night rubbing her back, I prayed "Maker of this mountain, please just make another way!!!" He made her way perfect now! We love and miss you Ebie! In the words of Mercy Me:

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times.
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced.
The reason why I'm broken, the reason why I've cried
because I long for the day I'll be with you.
(this was inspired by the song we used in erins video. If you wish to watch it you can here. It turned out really good. I'll never hear that song in the same light again.)

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear about your loss. A friend of mine, Filomena Palmer, lost her mother on May 5th, and Joanna and I decided to honor her memory by framing "A Parable of Immortality" by Henry Van Dyke. I thought it might be uplifting to all of you as well, so check out this link to read it:

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief.
