Charging the Moon

We have a new tradition at our house. Allie has alway been facinated with the moon, so sammy painted a 1/4 moon and some stars on allies ceiling with glow in the dark paint. When the lights go out they shine brightly over al's bed. Now comes the tradition part. One of my new added roles of being dad involves my million candle power flashlight. Last friday when the power was out for a couple hours, the house was dark and the paint didn't get charged so when allie went to bed the moon wasn't showing and she kept asking for it. Well in came the flash light and after about 30 seconds the moon was ready to go. So now allie says charge the moon charge the moon... and a new tradition was born. Now we try and give the moon and extra burst before bedtime to make sure it glows through out the night.
