This past Saturday the Kings (minus children) sammy and myself all packed into RV2. RV2 is the nickname for our new van (short for red van 2)... Well new meaning it's 6 years old and has 115,000 miles. RV1 the old red van is still running. I can't decide whether to sell her or just keep her and drive around. RV1's value tends to fluctuate. Her value is directly proportional to how much fuel she has. Anyway.... RV2 packed with headys and kings took out to Nashville. Her destination was Ruth's Chris restaurant. The purpose of this meal was to celebrate the freedom we now have. Although we are still poor, we are no longer slaved to Hoyte Jones at Bank of Putnam county. Debt free... pretty dang good feeling. Anyway... after an extra 45 minute lay over in the I-40 parking lot we made it to place where beef is what's for dinner. We were greeted at the door by the valet parking. Although this was my first time experiencing this high end service I'm pretty sure I could get used to it. Sure beat the heck out of trying to find a parking place in downtown Nashville. Much of my next memories are a tad fuzzy as they were lost due to beef intoxication. But the things I remember for sure were great food, and a waiter also named Ryan. Much of my food knowledge was gained from folks like Uncle Mcdonald and Mamma hardees. So in this particular situation we depended greatly on timbos knowledge from his first life prior to being a youth minister. He knew the ways of what questions to ask, and showed some rookies the ropes. Prior to Saturday i didn't really think you could cut a steak with a spoon. yeap that tender... who knew it was possible. Althought we wont be regulars at Ruths Chris it was an awesome experience. Good food... good friends. It was a truly great night. We were glad the kings could join us in our celebration. Pretty sure when I'm a Gozillionare I will open a Ruth's Chris in Sparta. But until then I'll just live on the memory I have of a steak that didn't die in vain.
