Once in awhile...

Well once in a blue moon as the old saying goes, something magical seems to happen. Last week we had the awesome opportunity to go to a private cd release party for Andrew Peterson. Although to some that may not seem like much, and some may not know andrew but here at the Heady home it was huge... bigger than huge... ginormus even. AP came to our church a couple years ago and did a concert and since then his music has spread through FBC like wild fire. AP's music to me is alot like the Andy Griffith show, i've heard every song a million times, but i don't grow tired of it. He plays on my PC at work, plays on the mac while i get ready in the morning and plays via the Peavy Sound board when i'm doing sound at church. I guess to make a long story short i was on his website buying the new cd a couple weeks ago and a news article was on there about the new CD and how if you wanted to come to this CD release party all you had to do was be one of the first 10 folks to email him off this page... Well automatically i was like "ok hands this is what we've been training for!!!" go go go. Seconds later the email had been sent and a few days later we got the email notfication saying come and dine. The night was awesome, it was such a great night you can't help but think, wow tomorrow can only be down hill from here. We got to sit and talk Ben's ear off for a couple of hours. He was very kind and gave us some great insight into the new albumn. Then Andrew was more than willing to let us get our pic taken with him. much like my dukes of hazzard post a few months ago... You can't go see andrew and not at least ask if you can get your pic made. We met tons of folks that worked on the albumn, along with many of andrews friends and family. The night was really special, one i will treasure for years to come. My only regret are that my other AP fan club members like kurt, angie, tim, and cammo couldn't come. Maybe one day the cosmic tumblers will click in line again and we can all have a private meal with AP. Get your copy of the Far Country online
