A visit to Cooter's Place

I'm pretty sure that any boy that grew up during the 80's spent some, if not alot of time watching the Duke's run around Hazzard County in the world's coolest car. Well today we drove to nashville to touch a small piece of history. Even though the sign said do not touch, we had to do it anyway. Getting that close to the General Lee and not at least laying your hand on it... well that's gotta be a sin of some kind. Today was the grand opening of Cooters place in nashville. There is a cooters place in the Burg, but now nashvagus has one as well.
We drove to nashville in the Jeep .. thanks to the kings for letting us borrow her while they are gone to the beach. We met cammo and kipper to eat at the Mac and Cheese Grill at Opry mill's. It was yummy. And then we headed on over to see a piece of television history. We decided not to stand in the million mile long line to get cooters autograph. Instead we went straight to the car and snuck a picture of cooter signing autographs for other folks. There were lots of cool pics from the show, and they had lots of old toys and stuff that brought back lots of memories from days gone by. I was also reminded of my only negative duke memory. That memory deals with my lunch box that i had growing up. I gladly took it to school every day... proud of my dukes lunch box. Then only to come to find out many years later that my lunch box was purchased during the one period of time where there were "problems" on the show and Bo and Luke were replaced by look alikes Coy and Vance. Needless to say i was crushed when about 5 years ago i pulled out the lunch box and said hey these guys don't really look like bo and luke. Well they weren't!!!! Apparently Faja don thought $4.99 was too much to pay at Fred's so we went with the $2.99 coy and vance lunch box. Other than that I have only great memories of the Dukes and it was a great day to get to see and touch a part of TV history. Oh by the way you can catch the dukes every night on CMT at 10:00. Yeeeeehaaaaaawww!!!
